Most recently, I let my hair grow way too long before getting it cut. I generally get a trim every 4 months or so, but this time around I wanted long hair for the summer and decided to forgo my quarterly trim. However, I quickly learned that it wasn’t the right move because not only did I not to cut it, I decided to go even lighter. As you can imagine, going lighter damages your hair and when it’s already not in its healthiest state, it really takes a toll on your ends. Plus, it doesn’t help that I’m always outside in the summer. Much like your skin, the sun really damages your hair (Pro tip: Use UV hair spray to protect it from harsh rays).
With the mixture of dying my hair, sun exposure and a missed cut, I started to notice that my ends were brittle, dry and thin. I immediately booked an appointment to get it trimmed, but needed to do more if I was looking to really repair my hair. I’ve been using 180PRO products for a while now, but I decided to incorporate the Moisture Repair line and it really was the right decision this time around.
180PRO Moisture Repair is specifically formulated for hair that is dry and damaged. It targets hair’s worst breaking points and actually improves its condition with each use. After using it for just two weeks, I noticed a huge difference. I recommend using it with the Miracle Repair Damage Eliminator Leave-In Treatment because together the two reinforce proteins and conditioning agents in your hair to make it even stronger.
Often times, when people notice their hair is getting dead, they just turn to cutting it off, but never actually address the problem with the right products. Aside from using a shampoo and conditioner that helps repair it, it’s also important to incorporate quality styling products into your routine. Since I put a lot of heat on my hair (it’s naturally really curly), I like to use the 180PRO Heat Rescue Flat Iron Barrier Thermal Protection Spray before styling. It surrounds strands to help lock out heat to prevent damage before it even starts. If you’re putting a lot of heat on your hair, this step is crucial to keep your mane healthy.
Aside from using helpful hair care products, I’d also recommend wearing a hat on the beach or covering your hair with a towel when you’re lying out to tan. If you take these steps, I think you’ll find that you’re quickly on the road to healthy hair.
