    TIP: If trying a shade for the first time, go 1 shade lighter.

  • Liqui-Crème can be used with a bowl & brush OR applicator bottle

  • Select the desired level: For best results pick a shade 2 levels lighter or darker than your natural color.
  • Color can’t lift color! If going blonde from darker hair, see our lighteners or high-lift shades.
  • Select the desired tone/shade.
    TIP: Gold & NN’s provide the best gray coverage.
  • If trying a shade for the first time, go 1 shade lighter
  • Most of the time, 20 volume is a good choice!
  • 10 volume lifts 1 level
  • 20 volume lifts 1 – 2 levels
  • 30 volume lifts 2 – 3 levels and is for use with Intense Lift
  • 40 volume is for use with Crème Lightener & High-Lift Blondes

To determine whether an allergy exists, perform a patch test 48 hours before color application.

    1. Wash a 1-inch area on the inside of the elbow or behind the ear. Pat dry with cotton.
    2. Mix a small amount of equal parts developer and selected shade.
    3. Apply mixture to test area using a cotton-tipped applicator.
    4. Let area dry. Do not cover or disturb for 48 hours.
    5. Examine the test area after 48 hours. If no reaction has occurred, proceed with coloring.

How to color hair with Permanent Color

Full Head Application

    1. Prepare. Put on cape and brush hair. Apply barrier cream to hairline. Put on gloves.
    2. Pour 2oz. of developer (half of the 4oz. bottle) into bowl or bottle.
    3. Add 2oz. of permanent color (full Liqui-Crème tube or Liquid bottle) and mix well.
    4. Apply to dry hair, starting with roots/resistant gray areas. Divide hair into 4 sections. Continue until roots are saturated.
    5. Set timer for 30 minutes.
      TIP: 45 minutes for 50% or more gray hair.
      PROCESING TIME TIPS:
      • Clip hair up with plastic vs. metal clips
      • Don’t use a shower cap
      • Clean up hairline right after application
    6. If you want to retouch ends: work color through ends when there are 5 minutes left on the timer.
      TIP: Add a little warm water and work through lengths and ends.
    7. Rinse hair until water runs clear. Shampoo, condition & style.

Root Retouch Application

Tools needed:

  • AGEbeautiful Demi Permanent Color
  • Demi Dedicated Developer
  • Gloves & Timer
  • Bowl (non-metallic) & Brush or Bottle
  • Comb & Clips
  • Barrier Cream
    TIP:Tip: Conditioner or lotion works well
  • Cape or Towel
Application & Processing
  1. Apply Permanent color mixture to re-growth only.
  2. Process for 30 minutes (or 45 minutes for 50% or more gray hair and vibrant shades).
  3. Try using a matching or lighter shade of AGEbeautiful Demi Permanent color mixed with Demi Dedicated Developer. Apply to lengths and ends for last 10 minutes of Permanent timing.
    TIP: If you do not have a Demi Permanent shade, add a little warm water to Permanent application and work through lengths and ends for the final 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Rinse with warm water, shampoo and condition.
